Birdland,
the famous New York Jazz club is immediately associated with
the late and great father of Bee Bop, Charlie Parker, who
was known to his peers as "Bird".
Sue Bluck, Kerry Byrom-Carter and
Jenny
Wrenn, a Perth vocal trio known
for their exciting vocal harmonies and slick arrangements,
have taken the name of
Birdland.
Their musical repertoire includes songs in the style of
Manhattan Transfer, the Supremes and the Andrews Sisters, as
well as original vocal arrangements of the great Jazz
standards.
Collectively they have a wealth of stage, cabaret, recording
and television experience. Their repertoire covers a variety
of styles including:
